Mr.Runwal is also a Trustee of the Mahavir Foundation – the Foundation has two student-hostels at Jogeshwari; a Trustee of the Subhash Runwal Education Foundation; President of the Jain International Trade Organisation; Ex-President of the Bharat Jain Mahamandal and Ex-Treasurer of the World Jain Confederation.
As President of Bharat Jain Mahamandal, Mr.Subhash Runwal was involved with many social, educational and religious institutions. With the help of his resources and contacts he has contributed to generous causes of the Mandal, like fund raising for the student scholarship program.
The Runwal family has instituted and is sustaining many educational and community welfare projects like, a college at Dhule (Maharashtra) and a High school serving 2000 children at Jalgaon. A massive Sthanak or Rest House has been built in Chembur for the Jain community and their people. Not just that, a pathological laboratory at Ghatkopar, a special sanatorium at Malad for lodging relatives of outstation patients who are undergoing treatment have also been built keeping their needs in mind. A special Jain temple is also being built at Thane, where the family is also giving shape to a school project. Mr.Runwal is soon starting a Jain Girls Hostel at Thane having a capacity of providing hostel facilities for around 80 girls.
