A graduate from Pune University, Mr. Subhash S. Runwal completed his Chartered Accountancy in 1967, ranking 5th all over India. He then worked as a professional, rising quickly to the ranks to be a part of the management in a short span of 9 years.

The pioneer that he is, he decided to set up R Mall in Mulund which was known as an Industrial suburb, but with the development of R Mall, Runwal Anthurium, Runwal Greens, R Square today Mulund is a bustling suburb known as the “Queen of the central suburb”.

Mr. Subhash S. Runwal while being in the forefront of the industry has not just rested on the laurels, but has also led from the front for social causes. His endeavor has been to significantly contribute in the field of Medical, Education and Religion.

Mr. Runwal is the recipient of various awards which includes on 10th July, 2012 "Samaj Ratna" award given at Rashtrapati Bhavan by Her Highness President of India Smt. Pratibhatai Patil.

Mr. Sandeep Runwal – Managing Director, Runwal, is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and alumni of Harvard Business School. With a robust experience of over 20 years and being thoroughly involved in the business he is known to be highly detail oriented and uncompromising in quality. Being regarded as an industry thought leader for his immense emphasis on ‘Quality on Time’ bundled with customer service he was awarded as the ‘Lords of the Land’ by Star Reality in 2011.

His farsightedness has made the Runwal become one of Mumbai’s premier Real Estate organisation by creating landmarks within the area of development that led the group to establish a solid portfolio of 50 significant projects in the residential, commercial and retail space. He was the driving force behind Mumbai’s most famous landmark - the R City mall. Besides being one of the largest retail properties in the central region, it is perhaps the only mall to have received funding from Singapore-based GIC. His deep understanding of business, research and consumer insights and behavior, has enabled the Runwal to manage one of largest retail portfolios that include R-mall Mulund & Thane, Runwal Odeon and R-City.

As a leader, he has placed a great deal of value in nurturing relationships for the long run and has constantly motivated and pushed his team towards excellence.

He is a keen traveler, an avid reader and has a passion for sports.

Saurabh Runwal was appointed as the Associate Director of Runwal Developer in September 2020. Since then he is actively involved across Residential and Retail projects of the group looking after Sales, Marketing, and Project Delivery.

Before his appointment, Saurabh was a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company where his prime focus was on projects in Construction, Manufacturing, and Healthcare. He served the company for over two years was one of the fastest promotions in company history.

Saurabh graduated with as a CP Davis Engineering Scholar from Columbia University in 2018 where he studied Civil Engineering and Real Estate Economics. During his academics, Saurabh worked as an intern analyst at JLL, Barclays Investment Bank, and Strategy& - part of the PwC network. His school academic records are also impressive with him being graduated among the top 1% of the country in the ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) Board Examinations. He completed his schooling at Bombay Scottish School and high school from B.D Somani and later went to complete his education program for in Algebra and Number Theory from Stanford University. Recently he ranked in the top 5 nationally for the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting examinations He is the third successor to the family-run business and brings a fresher perspective to the brand to scale it to greater heights.

In his spare time, Saurabh enjoys reading, stand-up comedy, and music, Investing in start-ups focusing on sustainability, mobility and proptech, writing insights and articles on the real estate sector, playing outdoor sports such as skiing, golf, scuba diving.

Mr. Subodh Runwal is the Managing Director of Runwal Developer . A Harvard Business School Alumnus and MBA Graduate from North Eastern University, Boston, he began his innings with the development of R City, one of the best malls in the country. With over two decades of experience in the real estate industry, he brings on board his ‘Nothing is Impossible’ attitude, a unique vision, and best management practices.

With his global outlook as well as a keen eye for detail, he is at the helm of a large portfolio spanning multiple asset classes such as Residential, Retail, and Commercial. With a passion for offering international quality developments, he has been instrumental in the design and development of the group’s large-format lifestyle townships in the MMR region. Under his leadership, the group has witnessed the rapid expansion and exponential growth and today Runwal Developer is among the top developers in India.

He has represented the group in numerous industry forums and is also close to social causes. He is one of the promoters of SREF (Subhash Runwal Education Foundation), which provides scholarships for higher education to deserving and meritorious students.
